The challenge
Hijack Poker launched as a new product with no audience. The job was to build one, keep players coming back, and stay within profitability targets.
The approach
Multi-channel go-to-market
I built and ran the launch plan across paid social, influencer partnerships and in-app channels, directing $20K+ in advertising budgets while keeping spend within profitability targets.
Research in the product loop
I ran moderated and unmoderated usability tests and facilitated cross-functional workshops to refine user journeys and feature requirements. Those findings directly shaped the product roadmap and feature priorities.
Fixing friction
Working with product and engineering, I directed platform improvements built around simpler, more intuitive user flows. Abandonment went down and sessions got longer.
Results
- Daily active users grew 1,533%, from 3 to 49 per day, from inception through November 2025.
- Engagement improved 5% in the first quarter after launch.
- Player abandonment dropped 3% and average session duration rose 8%.
- The app became the platform for later campaigns, including the $100K Freeroll.
